Future Goal for My Blog

Its been awhile since I have done a post but I want to come back and be ready for more and expand this website to its full potential. I want to keep up the posts but I want to turn my website to the ultimate Makeup Artist and Makeup lovers magazine, where well known beauty gurus could do a kick ass photo shoot of their own makeup and trends. It would be full of tips and tricks and really well put together photography.

I don't have a clue where to start a magazine, just like this but its a hell of an idea. Ill figure it out.

Lime Crime Velvetine in Sueberry

Lime crime came out last winter with a 2 color lip creme collection  called Velvetines. One is a vibrant red color called red velvet and the other which I have on through out this post is sueberry. Sueberry is an amazing strawberry red color. The formula of the velvetines are amazing. They are considered lip stains and lip stains are a pain but this is highly pigmented and so smooth and easy to work with. You could even layer it and it won't smudge or flake like most lip stains.

Priced at $16.99 and only availableon Lime Crimes website or ebay, I'd say its worth giving a try. Here I paired it with Mac's Nightmoth Lip Liner.

Dupe Alert!!!!

Recently I had purchased the Viva Glam Nicki lipstick from Mac and did a post on it because I have never seen such a pretty color that was both vibrant and pigmented  before.

Mac Viva Glam Nicki                             Wet n Wild in pinkerbell

The color is a coral pink, which I've seen but nothing compared until I found Wet n Wild's long wear lipstick in pinkerbell. Now this is dead on compared to Viva Glam Nicki. Pigmentation and vibrancy is Amazing!!!! For the price and quality, they mind as well switch the lipstick tube and call it Viva Glam.

Mac Viva Glam Nicki swatched                  Wet n Wild Pinkerbell swatched

I honestly think Wet n Wild's lipstick is much more opaque then Mac's lipstick and is a 60 percent cheaper. Mac lipstick is $15 and Wet n Wild is $2.95.

Drugstore Edition- Setting Powders

So it is important to set your makeup because it will prolong the longevity especially throughout the summer. I did my research and tested some great drugstore setting powder finds.

You could go for something translucent, pressed or loose powder or you could go with something tinted in color or a powder foundation even. Now these powders could be used to set all over the face and underneath the eyes as well.

Loreal true match dependable powder

Nyc smooth skin loose face powder

Dermablend loose setting powder

Milani multi task face powder

Black Opal deluxe finishing powder

Iman Second-to none semi loose powder

Maybelline mineral power finishing veil translucent loose powder

Ben Nye Luxury Powders

All these drugstore friendly products are great for setting your face especially in the summer heat.

OMG Viva Glam Nicki

I went crazy when I seen the color of this lipstick. Nicki Minaj join forces with Mac for their famous viva glam collection about a year ago and she came out with this marvelous lipstick. The color is amazing.
It is pigmented and it has a little dry formula but it looks semi satin to matte.  The color is a neon coral pink literally on my lips. It's amazing like pow in your face gorgeous. It cost like a typical Mac lipstick is which is $15.

****will look different on different skin tones

I took pictures in my car going to work because I wore this today. Pictures of the lipstick is true to color maybe more neon and brighter person.

How to: Eyeshadow mistakes

Do you ever wonder how do makeup artist or girls with makeup skills know how to blend so well? Ever wonder why your eyeshadow doesn't come out the way you want it to because the colors went everywhere on the lid? Well here's a few eyeshadow mistakes that are come and how you could avoid it.

First mistake is not having a blending brush. Standard blending brush is a small, very soft fluffy brush meant to
only blend and extend the color of your eye shadow. So having that will help if you wanted to blend two colors together seamlessly.

Another mistake is not having two blending brushes. When applying color to the lid you want to make sure that you apply a blending transition color and then with another clean blending brush, will allow you to blend out any harsh lines created.

Next mistake is the outer corner mess. You know what I mean. Especially with darker colors in the outer corners you would want a clean crisp line. Not only does that lift you eyes but it looks professionally done. You could use tape and place them on the outer corners before eyeshadow application. Or take a cuttip and makeup remover and just wipe it going up towards the end of the brows and violaa your BEAT!

Last is knowing the eye shape. From monolids to wideset eyes, you could learn so many tricks. Like how to contour to create perfect cut creased eyes and how to shape your brows. So knowing that you could get nice with your eyeshadow application.

Quick tip- Always highlight the inner corners and brow bone no matter what eye shape because it will make your eyes look lifted, wide awake and appear larger.

My Nail Design for the week I thought would be cool to show

Until next time xoxo : )
